I sense a lot of sarcasm in this but just as a side note for you the panthers have the best prospects in the league right now so you could have given them that

Turned out Aulie can't skate. Burke just fell in love with the saving his dad in the ice story.

Funny you laugh at Nashville's trades. Every credible analyst out there says Nashville won the Deadline Day.

regardless of how many points landeskog gets, the fact that he is a +20 on a team that is a -8 is just (frank)ing insane. I think O'reilly should be the Next captain though, i cant remember the last time the avs had a player who had this skill and worked his ass off so hard.

BTW Gabe may be a 30 goal scorer next year but I think Eberle is going to be an 85 point player

Ohh and P.S. I hate all of you

they made good deals, but didn't make a large enough deal to get Suter to say. Its like when ATL signed antropov in order to try and keep Kovi. We all know how well that worked out

Hodgson went from possibly a 60-70pt guy to a 90pt ELITE CENTERMAN (Lebrun). Magically after he was traded.

I was upset to lose Hodgson but he wouldnt have helped this team in the near future as the the top 2 Centers are set for a while.

You may be underselling Kassian a bit. He has top 6 potential and is a year younger than Hodgson (21).

His skating is light years better than Hodgson's. But i'd say Cody has a better shot and vision.

Time will tell who wins this trade. Right now, it appears to be in Buffalo's favor. But not by the margin that many think.

Kassian a beast? Ask people in Buffalo the chances of this happening, this guy is not what he has been billed as. Not even close.

Aulie for Ashton was a bad deal for the Leafs? About as equal as it gets, Aulie has regressed this season and Ashton is younger with more upside.

the biggest fail in your post is that edmonton didnt make a trade with the leafs. We did nothing with steve tambolini. We traded with tampa bay for carter ashton.....

Hold the phone there Big Guy. There is a strong case to be made for the top 3 rookies right now.

Landeskog has that high +/-, and is a leader in rookie ppp and gwg.

Henrique is already strong in the faceoffs, leading in support and a leader in gwg.

Nugent has played alot less games and has the best p%, and is a leader in ppp.

It is not yet quite clear who is winning the Calder this year.

1) I think the Kassian/Hodgson trade was a good deal for both teams but I think Vancouver could've got a bit more since Hodgson is having a good campaign.

2) I disagree with you on Ashton/Aulie trade. I think that it's a good trade for the leafs. Although I've never really watched Aulie play, I remember Ashton at the World Jr's, great skating, potential power forward who is around 20 goals in the AHL this year so far.

3) Landeskog's +/- is impressive. Would've been nice if the Oiler's could pry Elliot from the Avs.

In Vancouver Hodgson went from being as good if not better than Eberle to being a flawed prospect.
